Support for the transition to a circular economy in enterprises

UNIPACK-V has successfully approved a project under the procedure “Support for the transition to a circular economy in enterprises” within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The main objective of the project is to accelerate the company’s transition to a circular economy by introducing circular models through the implementation of technologies for efficient resource use, extending product life cycles, limiting waste generation, and minimizing the use of raw materials and resources.

The specific objectives of the project are related to optimizing production costs by reducing the amount of resources used per unit of output and the volume of generated waste, increasing the efficiency of the production process and overall resource efficiency, and improving the company’s resilience to fluctuations in raw material and resource prices. Achieving these objectives will lead to a sustainable and long-term increase in the competitiveness of UNIPACK-V through a transformation from a linear to a circular model, while simultaneously contributing to the restoration of natural systems by reducing waste volumes and excessive resource consumption.

The total value of the project is BGN 698,000.00, of which BGN 349,000.00 is provided by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU instrument.
